About CADS
The Centre for Academic Development Services (CADS) is responsible
for quality assurance, academic development and academic support
at MEDUNSA. It aims to support individuals and units in their quest
to improve the quality of their teaching and their students’
learning. Academic development activities for staff and students
are systematically planned and co-ordinated to meet specific needs
of our academic community. Teaching and learning are the core activities
of MEDUNSA and therefore our emphasis is on curriculum development,
programme evaluation, evaluation of teaching courses and the assessment
of student learning.
CADS offers a range of services for both staff
and students. This includes an annual staff training programme
and student development programme. CADS is a support
and service centre that also designs and presents customised training
programmes based on staff needs.
Improving the quality of teaching and learning
increases the academic success rates of students.
