The Open Shelf book collection takes up most of the ground floor of the Library and is according to the National Library of Medicine and Library of Congress classification scheme.
LOANS
Library users may borrow the books in the Open Shelf Collection as follows:
| Undergraduate students | Up to 5 books for 14 days |
| Administrative staff | Up to 5 books for 30 days |
| Postgraduate students | Up to 8 books for 30 days |
| Academic staff | Up to 10 books for 60 days |
